"I once had a beautiful Fatherland," to borrow from Heine. The old SSM, the home of friends old and new, with sensible management, consideration, and good humour is gone, dead as old Queen Anne. The wretched hulk that sits there now is nothing but a shameful reminder of how ineptitude and caprice can taint an oasis.
Auspicium melioris aevi.

When we start our own magazine, can I get paid to make trips to Argentina?

I am willing to accept a salary equal to the cost of an upgrade to 1st or business class.

It seems only fair.

PLUS I won't say in my reviews that every lodge "is perfect."

Great to be here. The SSMBBS was the first forum I ever joined but it's lost its shine in recent months. I've also stop subscribing to the magazine because it's increasingly reptitive and boring and I get it cheaper at the newstand.

Desert Rat,
I go to Vegas once a month for 2-3 days. I have an office out at the NTS and I have other business with several of the agencies in town and at Losee Road. Can you PM me and tell me where you shoot? Is it at that range out on North 95? The Las Vegas Gun Club?
I have an office on Losee rd, shoot at Mesquite, Desert Lakes, and occasionally at the LV Gun Club.

Magazines

I really enjoy the BB, but I initially stopped subscribing to SSM after Les Greevy stopped writing. I started again because while it has it's faults I haven't been able to find a better substitute. I'm looking for technical advances in equipment, gun reviews and factual knowledge about the things I will use. Hunting techniques, I can probably write the articles myself. I used to subscribe to Shotgun Sports but it now is becoming a hunting magazine and fast reducing in size to a pamphlet. What magazines do you guys get to remain current?

We're all here, except Wayne, who is busy for a while, but he checks in.

ps We raised like $7000 for HOAL and Fisher House this year.
